A little history

Witney was the world's centre of blanket manufacturing for three centuries — Early's Blankets and other mills supplied the world, including Hudson's Bay trading blankets. The Market Place and the Buttercross are genuinely beautiful. The Cogges Farm Museum at an historic Thames-side farm is excellent.
