A little history

Alan Turing — the father of computer science and the man who broke Enigma — lived and died in Wilmslow. His house at 43 Adlington Road is blue-plaqued. The town is one of Cheshire's most prosperous — sometimes called the 'Golden Triangle' of affluence with Alderley Edge and Knutsford.

Local tip

The Alan Turing blue plaque at Adlington Road. The town centre for excellent independent shops and food. Alderley Edge is close for the legendary Cheshire escarpment walk.
