About Wembley

Known for

Wembley Stadium (the home of English football, built 2007 to replace the original with its twin towers), the SSE Arena (a major concert venue), the South Asian community (one of London's largest and finest), and a North West London neighbourhood of sporting and culinary significance

A little history

The original Wembley Stadium — opened 1923, known for its twin towers — hosted the 1966 World Cup Final, countless FA Cup Finals and countless concerts. The new stadium, opened 2007, has an iconic arch and 90,000 capacity. Wembley's South Asian community has created one of London's great food destinations on Ealing Road and nearby streets.

Local tip

Wembley Stadium for major events — the experience is extraordinary. Ealing Road for outstanding South Asian food. The SSE Arena for concerts. The new Wembley area for development.
