A little history

Cornwall's only city and its administrative capital. Truro's Cathedral was the first new Anglican cathedral built in England after St Paul's in London — completed in 1910. The city's Georgian and Victorian architecture reflects its stannary and port history.

Local tip

The Lemon Quay farmers market on Wednesdays and Saturdays is exceptional — the best of Cornwall's food producers. Hall for Cornwall for excellent arts programming. Lemon Street for independent shopping.
