A little history

Tayport sits opposite Dundee at the southern end of the Tay Rail Bridge. Tentsmuir Point — a National Nature Reserve — has one of Scotland's finest beaches with extensive pinewood behind. The area has good walking and wildlife.

Local tip

Tentsmuir Beach and Forest are genuinely outstanding — the beach backed by pines is beautiful. The Tay Bridge views. The cycle path along the Tay.
