A little history

Stourport-on-Severn is unique — the only town in England created by the canal age. When James Brindley connected the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal to the Severn in 1772, a new town grew from nothing. The Georgian canal basin is the finest of its kind in England.

Local tip
