A little history

St Helens RFC — one of the most successful clubs in Rugby League history — have won numerous Challenge Cups and league titles. Pilkington Brothers, founded in St Helens in 1826, became the world's largest glass manufacturer and developed float glass, the technique used to make all modern flat glass. The town's identity is rooted in glass and rugby.
