A little history

Rhayader is the first town on the River Wye — and one of the main gateways to the Elan Valley, where Birmingham Corporation built a series of magnificent Victorian dams and reservoirs. The red kite was brought back from near-extinction in Wales and the Rhayader area is now home to hundreds. The daily kite feeding at Gigrin Farm is extraordinary.
