Redditch was the world's needle-making capital — at its peak producing 90% of the world's needles and fish hooks. The Forge Mill Needle Museum tells this remarkable story. The town was designated a new town in 1964 and grew substantially. Arrow Valley Country Park has a beautiful lake.
