A little history

On 3 March 1960, Elvis Presley's plane stopped to refuel at Prestwick Airport — the only time he ever set foot on British soil. Royal Troon Golf Club, one of the Open Championship courses, is immediately adjacent to the town. The Bruce's Well commemorates Robert the Bruce.
