Portree is the main town on the Isle of Skye — the administrative, commercial and cultural hub of the island. The harbour's coloured cottages are one of Scotland's most photographed scenes. Bonnie Prince Charlie said farewell to Flora MacDonald here after the '45 Jacobite rising. The Cuillin mountains dominate the landscape.
