About Pitlochry

Known for

The Pitlochry Festival Theatre, Blair Athol Distillery, the Salmon Ladder, Killiecrankie gorge and the surrounding Perthshire landscape

A little history

Pitlochry grew as a Victorian resort after Queen Victoria visited the area and it became fashionable. The dam and power station were built in 1950, creating Loch Faskally
