Newton Mearns is one of Scotland's most prosperous residential areas — East Renfrewshire council consistently ranks as the most affluent local authority in Scotland. Rouken Glen Park, shared with the Giffnock area, provides beautiful parkland with a waterfall and boating lake.

Local tip

Rouken Glen Park is excellent. The town centre for good independent food and shopping. The golf courses in the area. Glasgow is 20 minutes away.
