A little history

Milngavie (pronounced 'Mull-GUY') is the official start of the West Highland Way — 96 miles of walking from here to Fort William. The obelisk in the town centre marks the official starting point. Mugdock Country Park, just north of the town, provides excellent walking and wildlife habitat close to Glasgow.
