A little history

Owain Glyndŵr — the last native Prince of Wales — held his parliament in Machynlleth in 1404, the high point of the Welsh rebellion against English rule. The Parliament House is preserved. The Centre for Alternative Technology, founded in 1973, is Europe's leading sustainable living exhibition centre.
