A little history

Livingston was designated a New Town in 1962 to house Edinburgh and Glasgow overspill. The Designer Outlet has made the town a major retail destination. Almondell and Calderwood Country Park, along the River Almond, provides excellent walking and wildlife. Livingston FC has competed in European football.
