The Pennine Cycleway, the Coast to Coast Walk (Alfred Wainwright's great route passes through), the Cloisters (a remarkable indoor market), and a small Cumbrian market town of great walking heritage significance

A little history

Kirkby Stephen is the most important market town in the upper Eden Valley. The Coast to Coast Walk, devised by Alfred Wainwright, passes through the town. The Cloisters — a 17th century colonnade beside the church — is unique in Cumbria.
