A little history

Kingsbridge sits at the head of the Kingsbridge Estuary — a drowned river valley (ria) that creates one of Devon's most beautiful natural harbours. The town has been a market centre for the South Hams since medieval times. Salcombe, at the mouth of the estuary, is one of England's most fashionable and expensive coastal resorts.
