A little history

The centre of the medieval wool trade — 'Kendal Green' was a famous cloth exported across Europe. Katherine Parr (Henry VIII's final wife) was born in Kendal Castle. Kendal Mint Cake has fuelled expeditions including the first Everest ascent.
