A little history

A major port city for 700 years. Kingston upon Hull was a major whaling and fishing port. Philip Larkin worked at the university library for 30 years. City of Culture 2017 was a genuine turning point.

The Fruit Market is Hull's creative and food quarter — excellent independent restaurants and bars in old warehouse buildings. The Old Town for cobbled streets and historic pubs. The Deep for an afternoon.
