A little history

Helston's Furry Dance — held on 8 May — is one of Britain's oldest continuous folk traditions. Dancers in morning dress and white gloves pass through the town's streets and gardens in a centuries-old procession. RNAS Culdrose, the Royal Naval Air Station south of the town, is Britain's largest helicopter air station.

Local tip
