A little history

Haslingden grew as a cotton weaving town in the Rossendale Valley. The Halo — a stunning illuminated walkway on the hillside above the town — was created as a regeneration art project and has become one of Lancashire's most distinctive landmarks.

Local tip

The Halo at dusk is extraordinary and completely free. The East Lancashire Railway at Rawtenstall. The Rossendale Valley walks from the town.
