A little history

Margaret Thatcher, Britain's first female Prime Minister, was born above her father's grocery shop in Grantham in 1925. Isaac Newton attended King's School Grantham in the 17th century. The Angel and Royal Hotel, dating from the 14th century, hosted Richard III.

Local tip

The Thatcher statue is a talking point. The Museum for the Newton and Thatcher stories. The Angel and Royal for a coffee and the medieval architecture. The market on Saturdays.
