A little history

Fulham has been London's riverside village since medieval times — the Bishop of London's palace has stood here since the 8th century. Craven Cottage, Fulham FC's ground, dates from 1780 and is the most picturesque football ground in the Premier League. The area became affluent in the late 20th century.

Local tip

Craven Cottage for a Fulham FC match — the riverside ground with a neutral terrace is genuinely one of football's great experiences. Bishop's Park for the riverside and the palace. The New Kings Road for excellent independent food.
