A little history

Frome's independent town council, elected in 2011 with no party political candidates, has become a model for independent community politics across Britain. The Frome Cheese Show is one of Somerset's great agricultural events. The town's medieval Cheap Street — with a water channel running down the middle — is one of Somerset's finest.
