A little history

Fleetwood was planned and built from scratch in the 1830s by local landowner Sir Peter Hesketh-Fleetwood and architect Decimus Burton — one of England's most complete planned Victorian towns. The Pharos lighthouse and Mount Pavilion are key Burton landmarks.

Local tip

The tram to Blackpool is one of England's great tram rides. The Monday and Friday markets for the best fish market in Lancashire. The promenade for Morecambe Bay views.
