About Finsbury Park

Known for

Finsbury Park (the 115-acre Victorian park and major music venue), the Arsenal FC connection, the diverse food scene on Stroud Green Road, and one of North London's most vibrant and multicultural neighbourhoods

A little history

Finsbury Park opened in 1869 as the People's Park — intended for working-class Londoners without access to the Royal Parks. The park has hosted major concerts from Bob Dylan to the Rolling Stones. The neighbourhood has been home to successive immigrant communities — Irish, Turkish, West African and Latin American.

Local tip

Stroud Green Road for outstanding independent food — one of North London's best food streets. The park for the music events — the summer concerts are legendary. Manor House area for the Turkish and Latin American food culture.
