A little history

Ellon is the home of BrewDog — the craft beer brewery founded in 2007 that transformed British craft beer culture. The BrewDog brewery and visitor centre are based here. Haddo House, an elegant 18th century mansion designed by William Adam, is a short drive away.

Local tip

BrewDog's Lone Wolf bar and brewery tours at their Ellon HQ are excellent. Haddo House for the architecture and grounds. The Ythan estuary for birdwatching. The town centre for local Aberdeenshire shopping.
