A little history

Elie is one of the most beautiful villages in the East Neuk of Fife — a string of fishing harbours on the Firth of Forth. The Ship Inn's cricket pitch on the beach, only playable at low tide, is one of Scotland's most eccentric sporting venues. The village has been a fashionable summer resort since the Victorian era.
