A little history

Ealing Studios, founded in 1902, is the world's oldest working film studio. The Ealing Comedies of the 1940s and 50s — Kind Hearts and Coronets, The Lavender Hill Mob, The Ladykillers — defined a particular English sensibility. The borough has consistently been one of London's most desirable places to live.

Local tip

Ealing Studios tours are available — genuine film history. Walpole Park for the beautiful Victorian parkland and the Pitzhanger Manor gallery. The Broadway for excellent independent food. Southall's Golden Mile for the finest South Asian food in London.
