A little history

Droitwich has been exploited for its exceptionally salty brine since Roman times — the settlement of Salinae was an important salt production centre. The Victorian spa town grew around the remarkable brine baths where you can float without trying. John Corbett, the 'Salt King', developed the spa in the 19th century.
