A little history

Daventry sits at the geographical centre of England. Borough Hill, the large Iron Age hillfort above the town, was used by Charles I as his headquarters before the Battle of Naseby in 1645. The BBC's long-wave transmitter at Daventry broadcast the World Service across the globe for decades.
