A little history

Dalston developed as a Victorian working-class area, becoming home to successive waves of immigrant communities — Jewish, Caribbean, Turkish and West African. Ridley Road Market has served the community since the 1880s. The neighbourhood gentrified rapidly in the 2010s while retaining its diverse character.
