A little history

Colwyn Bay developed as a fashionable Victorian and Edwardian resort. The pier, opened in 1900, fell into disrepair but has been magnificently restored. The town is well placed for both the Conwy Valley and the Snowdonia National Park. Eirias Park is one of the finest parks in North Wales.

Local tip

The restored pier is beautiful — well worth visiting. Eirias Park for the outdoor lido in summer. The Conwy Valley for inland exploration. Rhos-on-Sea for the quieter beach end.
