A little history

Camden has been at the heart of British counterculture since the punk era. The Roundhouse, built as a railway engine shed in 1847, became a legendary concert venue in the 1960s. Camden Market grew from a small craft market in the 1970s into one of the world's most visited markets. Amy Winehouse grew up here and is honoured with a bronze statue.
