A little history

England's second oldest university city. Peterhouse, founded 1284, is the oldest college. Isaac Newton studied here. The River Cam and the flat landscape make it uniquely walkable and cyclable. The technology cluster — the Silicon Fen — is now economically bigger than the university.

Mill Road is the soul of non-tourist Cambridge. Walk it end to end. The Saturday market on Market Square. Grantchester meadows for a summer punt. CB2 and Clown's cafes for the real Cambridge.
