A little history

One of the great Lancashire weaving towns, Burnley's Queen Street Mill is the last surviving steam-powered weaving mill in the world — still complete with its original machinery. The Weavers' Triangle is an extraordinary surviving industrial landscape.

Local tip

Queen Street Mill is genuinely unmissable — the only surviving steam weaving mill in the world. Towneley Hall for free culture and parkland. The Charter Walk for practical shopping.
