A little history

Beckenham was an affluent Victorian suburb. David Bowie lived at Haddon Hall in Beckenham from 1969 to 1973 — writing and recording Ziggy Stardust and Space Oddity here. The Three Tuns hosted his Arts Lab events in the late 1960s.

Local tip

The Three Tuns pub on the High Street is where Bowie played early gigs. Kelsey Park for a beautiful Victorian park. Crystal Palace Park is close for the dinosaur statues and athletics.
