A little history

One of the oldest cities in Britain — Bangor's cathedral was founded in the 6th century, making it one of the oldest Christian sites in the UK. The University of Bangor was founded in 1884. Thomas Telford's Menai Suspension Bridge — the world's first large iron suspension bridge — is nearby.
